Ricky Williams is a tailback who breaks through enemy tacklers. Ricky has stoped being so hard on himself and has his focus on football. Social anxiety order, which affected Ricky since childhood, is no longer bothering him. Ricky is not taking the mood-leveling medication he tried while with New Orleans. He has decided to live with it and try and make his life better.
Ricky has a new kind of confidence to his seemingly limitless skills. He is finding his holes better, running better pass routes to get open, blocking his quarterback with confidence, and making big plays when his team needs him. It doesn't hurt that Ricky shed some 20 unneeded pounds in the offseason and is back near his old college playing weight.
Ricky's success in Miami has a lot to do with a favourite college play called the counter play. Ricky runs one way and cuts to the other, for a really big gain. Norv Turner and Ricky have worked this out with the offence and this makes Ricky's job much easier.
Not surprisingly, the new low-maintenance, high-octane Ricky has done wonders for team chemistry. Ricky has stepped it up and made the level of play better for everyone around himself.
